How a commission works

1. We talk

   Tell me which instrument you're after, how you play and the sound you have in mind. Call or text me, or send a message using the form below.

2. We choose the details together

   The wood, the mounts and the inlay. For a medieval set, we'll also decide on Highland or open fingering, and chambered or flared drone ends. If you're unsure about the wood, the woods and mounts page is a good place to start.

3. I make your set

   I turn and finish your set by hand, one set at a time.

What it costsMost combinations of wood and mounts are covered by the price list. For anything custom, I'll give you a quote.
